MOSCOW, Dec 24 (PRIME) -- The government can sell a stake in railway equipment and tank maker Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) after 2020 to a Russian investor, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told business newswire RBC on Monday.
“Now is not the time to sell UVZ, but I am sure that its turn will come. Preliminarily, after 2020,” Manturov said.
He said that some firms producing double-purpose civil-defense goods are interested in the asset, but no tender was held.
Manturov announced plans to privatize UVZ in 2016 but the company is not on the government’s 2017–2019 privatization list.
